Leadership in the Church ~ Savonarola

As we learned earlier, the Humanists were seeking new truths and understandings in the area of science, as well as in the area of leadership.  This same process was used to gain new understandings about the Catholic Church. People started to examine the role of the Catholic Church in their society, as well as thier understandings of Church teachings.

Remember - the Humanists were deeply religious, what changed was how they interpreted their religious beliefs, the bible, and the role of the Catholic Church.
